Vintage Photo Day!

We’ll post two today, because with the excitement of the Big Four Bridge opening last week, we couldn’t help but share this photo we found in the UofL Photographic Archives. This was taken at the 1929 opening of the Municipal Bridge, better known as the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge, or the 2nd Street bridge. While the men’s hats are interesting, the real shock is the shear amount of people. Check out the people climbing up the sides! Hopefully the crowds stay smaller on the Big Four Bridge. See you out there.
